Sugarlands Distilling Company has been designated as the Official Moonshine of the 2025 Ryder Cup, a significant golf event featuring competition between the United States and Europe. To commemorate this partnership, the company will introduce a limited-edition Cherry Limeade Moonshine, which will be available at retailers across the country.
The Cherry Limeade Moonshine, which has an alcohol content of 20% by volume, combines the flavors of cherries and limes. The packaging features the Ryder Cup logo alongside an image of Bethpage Black, the golf course that will host the event.
Patrick Sullivan, the chief commercial officer of Sugarlands, stated that this designation is an important milestone for the company. He emphasized the significance of creating co-branded products for both the Ryder Cup and the PGA Championship, highlighting the shared passion for the sport.
In addition to the Ryder Cup, Sugarlands has also become the Official Moonshine of the PGA of America and the PGA Championship. The company will continue to offer its PGA Championship-branded Lemonade Moonshine, which has been available since 2022.
Luke Reissman, Senior Director of Global Partnerships for the PGA of America, expressed enthusiasm about the expanded partnership with Sugarlands, anticipating that the Cherry Limeade Moonshine will appeal to golf fans.
The 107th PGA Championship is scheduled to take place from May 12-18 at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, while the Ryder Cup will be held from September 23-28 at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York. Sugarlands cocktails will be available for spectators at both events.
