SwitchBot has announced the launch of its latest product, the SwitchBot Outdoor Security Camera 2K. This new camera offers 2K resolution and a range of features aimed at enhancing home security.
The camera is equipped with a 3MP lens, providing high-resolution images during both day and night. It includes a built-in spotlight and infrared night vision to capture clear, full-color footage even in low-light environments.
The SwitchBot Outdoor Security Camera 2K integrates with the SwitchBot Ecosystem, allowing users to take advantage of several smart features. These include AI-powered motion detection that recognizes people and filters out unnecessary alerts, customizable detection zones for focusing on specific areas, and two-way audio for real-time communication through the SwitchBot app. The camera is also compatible with Alexa for voice-controlled operation and includes a tamper-proof alarm that emits a 106dB sound and sends alerts if tampered with.
Installation of the camera is designed to be straightforward, with options for mounting using adhesive or straps. The camera supports multiple power options, including solar-powered charging with SwitchBot’s Solar Panel, which can provide year-round power with minimal sunlight. It also features a 10,000mAh battery, offering up to 180 days of operation on a single charge, or up to 365 days when used with any SwitchBot Hub.
The SwitchBot Outdoor Security Camera 2K is built to be durable and weather-resistant, with an IP65 rating and an operational temperature range of -10ºC to 50ºC. Storage options include local storage via microSD card (up to 256GB) and cloud storage with a 14-day free trial.
