Taco Bell is expanding its crispy chicken lineup with two new menu additions launching June 17: the Crispy Chicken Taco and the Crispy Chicken Burrito. These limited-time items build on the success of the sell-out Crispy Chicken Nuggets and mark Taco Bell’s boldest move yet in the crispy chicken category.
At the heart of each new item is the Crispy Chicken Strip, made with all-white meat chicken marinated in a jalapeño buttermilk blend and coated in a mixture of crunchy tortilla chips and breadcrumbs. The taco features one strip nestled in a soft tortilla with purple cabbage, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo and cheddar cheese, all drizzled with the choice of Spicy Ranchero Sauce or Avocado Ranch Sauce. The burrito doubles down with two chicken strips wrapped in a flour tortilla alongside the same fresh toppings and sauce options.
The new Spicy Ranchero Sauce combines Anaheim and jalapeño peppers with tomatoes, garlic and onion for a tangy bite. The Avocado Ranch Sauce blends creamy ranch with ripe avocado for a smooth finish. Both sauces are available a la carte or as add-ons to any order.
“We listened to our fans who turned crispy chicken into a full-blown obsession,” said Taylor Montgomery, Taco Bell’s chief marketing officer. “By packing our signature chicken strips into tacos and burritos, we are elevating the classics fans know and love.”
Crispy Chicken Strips are also returning as a standalone item, sold two for $3.99. These menu additions pave the way for more crispy chicken innovations coming in 2026.
