The U.S. Postal Service will unveil its Holiday Cheer Forever stamps at a first-day-of-issue ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at 11 a.m. ET inside the Smithsonian National Postal Museum, 2 Massachusetts Ave. NE, Washington, D.C. The event is free and open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to register at usps.com/holidaycheerstamps. Michael J. Elston, vice president of labor relations for the Postal Service, will serve as the dedicating official. The Postal Service is promoting the release with the hashtag #HolidayCheerStamps.
The four-stamp set ushers in the season with contemporary artwork rooted in centuries-old decorating traditions. Designs include a holly wreath, a trio of amaryllis blossoms, a pair of cardinals perched on mistletoe, and an evergreen branch accented with fruit. Together, the images evoke familiar symbols of warmth, nature, and celebration that routinely find their way onto holiday cards, packages, and keepsakes.
With the ceremony timed ahead of peak mailing, the Holiday Cheer Forever stamps aim to add a festive touch to greetings and gifts as Americans prepare for the year’s busiest correspondence.
