MCHOSE and Unbox Therapy have teamed up to launch the UT98 mechanical keyboard, their first co-branded peripheral, debuting on Kickstarter July 17, 2025. The collaboration follows a 2024 review in which Unbox Therapy’s Lewis praised MCHOSE’s GX87 keyboard for its tactile feel, generating over five million views and prompting demand for a quieter design.

The UT98 retains the GX87’s soft, bouncy typing experience while addressing noise concerns. It will offer two switch options: the ultra-quiet Silent Peach V3 for shared workspaces and the Icy Creamsicle switch for a smooth, creamy keystroke. The keyboard features a gasket mount, hot-swappable switches and full N-Key rollover. Additional conveniences include an aluminum audio knob with one-press mute, and a one-click calculator key for Windows users.

Visually, the UT98 reflects Unbox Therapy’s brand identity. Keycaps use the channel’s logo typeface, and the keyboard is available in Classic Therapy (black and white) and Retro Therapy (signature orange) colorways. Complementing accessories include a co-branded wrist rest and mouse pad featuring distinctive Unbox Therapy design elements.

“We set out to combine premier typing performance with noise control in a package that feels unmistakably Unbox Therapy,” said a spokesperson for MCHOSE. The Kickstarter campaign will showcase product details, early bird pricing and stretch goals, giving backers a chance to secure the keyboard and accessories before retail release.
