Vivreau, a leading provider of sustainable water solutions in North America, has announced the launch of its new Extra C-Tap water dispenser. This innovative dispenser, featuring advanced micro-filtration technology, offers five types of water: unchilled and chilled still, chilled semi-sparkling and sparkling, and on-demand hot water, ensuring excellent-tasting water.

The new Extra C-Tap aims to address the environmental impact of plastic waste. According to a United Nations University Report, around 600 billion plastic bottles are produced annually, resulting in approximately 25 million tons of plastic waste, most of which is not recycled. The Extra C-Tap is designed with sustainability in mind, producing 86% less CO2 emissions than single-use plastic bottles and 64% less than traditional water coolers. It also features low-energy consumption options, such as boiler standby and night modes.

Tom Spillane, Vice President of Technical Excellence at Vivreau, highlighted the advancements of the new product. The Extra C-Tap builds on the features of the Vi Tap Dispenser, making it the most versatile water dispenser from Vivreau. With a variety of options and state-of-the-art technology, it serves as an environmentally-friendly alternative to plastic water bottles and provides a premium water sensory experience.

Key features of the Extra C-Tap include:

  • ThermalGate disinfection technology, which heats to 257 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent contamination and kill viruses and bacteria
  • Proven filtration technology for excellent-tasting cold and hot water and limescale prevention
  • A sleek brushed stainless-steel tap with a glass touch panel
  • An option for still and sparkling water without hot water
  • An optional Easy Access Panel to accommodate wheelchair users and meet ADA requirements
  • Tailored water portioning for precise filling of glasses and bottles

The Extra C-Tap will be available for installations starting October 1, 2024, and will replace the Vi Tap dispensers, which will be phased out in early 2025.

Additionally, Vivreau is introducing a new Lounge Bottle, ideal for meeting rooms, hotels, restaurants, and hospitality lounges. The Lounge Bottle, like all Vivreau bottles, is customizable with logos and branding. Made from premium glass and designed for commercial dishwashers, the 750-milliliter Lounge Bottle is reusable and compatible with the Extra C-Tap and Vivreau’s other dispensing and bottling solutions.
